Point Blank Band first began as a collection of friends who got together to jam. Bill Reagle and Jesse Farthing were the band's co-founders.
The group got together in the basement of original drummer Paul Langmeyer's home for periodic jams. About 10 months after the group started, Dr. Jerry Kovalcik joined the band and a month or so later, Frank Troccoli joined the band after moving to northern Virginia from New York City.
Jesy Reagle began singing with the group when she was 12 and is still with the band today. The newest member of the band is drummer Dick Cole, who joined the band in early 2006. Dick is the band's third drummer, following Paul and Rick Stride. Paul was with the band for 12 years and Rick for three.
The band started performing at block parties and neighborhood events under the name W.M.O.B -- White Men On Beer. When the band began gigging in northern Virginia-area clubs, it was decided that the band needed a more politically correct name and W.M.O.B. became Point Blank Band. The band has performed at countless parties, corporate events, and performed in many of the D.C.-area's live music venues including, Neighbors', JV's, Tavern On The Lake, Main Street, Sunset Grill, Sully's, Fat Tuesday's, Clyde's, Champps, RnR Bar and Lounge, Madigan's, and many others.
